As a Business Management student from Mumbai in Maharashtra pursuing Master degree from Mysuru university was gang-raped by six people on the evening of Aug 24, the University has prohibited girl students roaming in the university campus after 6.30pm. The university circulation said girl students of the university have been prohibited from roaming and sitting in the campus after 6.30pm for their security.

The university was being taken to task on its decision by the students folk ad well from progressives that the university following the ‘Talibani Principle” by bordering the women. Though the victim wad gang-raped by men, the university instead banning the movement of gents on the premises has prevented women, is it law, questioned the progressives.

The BJP government was failed in maintaining the law and order, giving protection to women, holding women responsible for atrocities against them including sexual assault. The days were not far that the BJP government would bring an ‘Dress and Time Code’ to women in the state alike Taliban in Afghanistan. Women were held responsible for the fault and crime of men.

Progressives said that the timing restriction on women seeing on university campus could reach to 10.30am, 8.30am in days to come and finally stop educating them. The days were not far that the rape on woman was done because of she was a female and could not if she would not have born in that gender.

As the circulation being taken the university to task, the University V-C Shivappa Ramakrishna said the circular was issued to protect the women from such incidents which was taken back with immediate effect.
