Cooperative Minister ST Somashekhar said he has instructed the District Cooperative Banks and Apex Banks to recover the huge loans obtained by the bigwigs.

Speaking to news persons here on Tuesday, he said not only MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi but about 25 politicians have obtained large sum of loans for their businesses, of which a few keot their records updated by regularly paying the loan installments, however, a few not even paid the interest.

He said he advised not to hesitate to recover the loan amount from the bigwigs and used the method use for people who obtain small amount of loan. He said the banks have to get back loan about Rs 6,500.
