On the assumptions of the heavy rain on the upcoming two days the red alert declared at the 7 districts of the North Karnataka.
As there are possibilities of the heavy rain according to the reports of the weather forecasting dept. on 13th and 14th October the dist. level officers are informed to be at the center place. On 15th of the August the Yellow alert has been declared and the green alert has been declared on the 18th of the same month.
The Vijaypur DC P Sunilkumar has informed the respective departments to be extra alert on these days and to be ready to face the flood situation. He has also ordered the departments to be alert for 24 hours and to get ready with the essential rescue materials.
He further informed as due to the cyclone effect at the Bay of Bengal the red alert has been declared at the 7 districts including Vijaypur and Belagavi.
He informed the Vijaypur officers as the control rooms have been opened at the AC Office and the Tahshildar Office and has appealed as the staff should work for 24 hours and the 1077 (08352-221261) should be used by the civilians in case of emergency help
