As refused to delete his post of false geographical map of Maharashtra, included a few places in Karnataka including Belagavi, and uploaded a provocative speech about Karnataka and Maharashtra border dispute, the Belagavi police have filed a FIR against anti-Karnataka organisation – Maharashtra Ekikarn Samiti – (MES), activist Shubham Shelakhe.
Shubham Shelakhe who is being seen in front line of the organisation since about two years was jailed recently for the riots in Belagavi on defaming the statue of Shivaji Maharaj at Bengaluru and damaging the statue of Sangolli Rayanna here had over wrote the map of Maharashtra by including Karnataka parts Belagavi, Karwar, Nippani, Bidar, Balki and posted in social media through his Facebook account. The post was also included his provocative audio which could damage the harmony between Kannadigas and Marathis.
Following a complaint filed by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activist Vinayak Bhovi, the Malmaruti police summoned Shelakhe to the station and instructed him to delete the post. However, as refused, the FIR was filed against him.
