Seven youths travelling in a car were killed when the vehicle dashed against the road divider and fell beside the road, near Kannanakatte Toll Plaza in Jigalur taluk of the district at around 5am on Friday.

The ill-fated Tata Indica car was heading to Hosapete from Bengaluru. The car which as said to be in high speed hit to the divider, took about two turns and fell other side of the road. Six youths were killed on the spot and other on the way to hospital.
