Recently an accused named Wasim Shaikh was arrested under the crime of selling marijuana and a main accused named Ashfaq Mainuddin Shaikh a resident of Miraj Maharashtra had escaped from the Police.

Belagavi SP gave orders to the DCIB unit to hold the responsibility of the case further and to trace the escaped criminal; the CPI of DCIB unit Nigangowda prepared a team under the guidance of Belagavi SP and Add. SP and arrested the fugitive at Darga Chowk, Mali Galli, Miraj and took him to the investigation. After a severe probe the accuser said about buying the marijuana form two indifferent residents of Telangana and Hyderabad.

Including 120 kg marijuana a swift car and activa bike in total the materials which approximately costs 28,50,000 has been  detained by the DCIB Unit Police.
