The Supreme Court has issued order to release the Republic TV Chief Editor Arnab Goswami by granting him interim bail. Arnab was arrested by the Mumbai police from his residence last week in connection with a 2018 abetment to suicide case.

A Bench headed by Justice Chandrachud says Arnab Goswami and two other accused be released on interim bail on a bond of Rs 50,000. It has directed the Commissioner of Police to ensure the order is followed immediately. The Supreme Court has expressed anger on the Maharashtra State Govt. over its action.
