As the Omicron Variant of Coronavirus is growing on steadily in the state, the state government has clamped night curfew for ten days from Dec 28. The prohibitory order in force from 10pm to 5pm.

Health Minister Dr Sudhakar announced the government order. The government also banned new year celebration in public places and restricted entry to only 50% of the capacity inside the hall.

The Bengaluru police have banned new year celebration on MG Road, Brigade Road and Church Street where thousands used to gather for party to welcome the new year.
