Three including a five-year-old boy were killed on the spot when the car they were travelling in rammed into a tree at Srirangapur in Hosadurga taluk of Chitradurga district early hours on Monday.

Seven people from Kundapur were heading to Bengaluru in a ill-fated car in which Druti, 5, Geeta, 32, and Sharada, 60, succumbed and four others injured. Injured have been admitted at the government hospital in Chitradurga.
