Guwahati : Assam BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita said the government will allow tripling riding on two-wheelers when the petrol price reaches Rs 200 per litre in the state.
During a event at Tamulpur he said people should avoid luxury cars to save fuel and should go for tripling on two-wheeler.
He said he has suggested tripling riding can be done only when petrol price touches Rs 200 per litre. When it reaches Rs 200 we can take the government’s permission to allow three people in one bike and even manufacture three-seater two-wheeler vehicles.
On the price rise of mustard oil, Kalita said that price will reduce after harvesting of mustard cultivation. “We have not started cultivation of mustard till now this year. Once we start and the crop is harvested, the price of oil will also decrease”, he claimed.
Assam Congress leader Angkita Dutta sarcastically thanked the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for the recent surge in fuel prices which has now skyrocketed to a record-breaking high.
