Driver of a goods carrier container belonged to VRL group and another one travelling in the vehicle were killed on the spot when the vehicle fell on the road after hitting to a road divider in Sthavanidhi ghat section near Nippani on Pune- Bengaluru national highway on Sunday night.

Deceased have been identified as Mahaveer Basavaraj Jain, 28, and Vinayak Kumbar, 22. The vehicle was transporting chilly to Gujarat from Hubballi.

The driver, at second ‘Dangerous Curve’ zone on the road lost control on the vehicle dashed against the road divider and fell also after hitting to the road fancing.

The Nippani Town police have registered a case.
