Belagavi : Two students from Belagavi and one from Vijayapura district have been stranded in war bound Ukraine

Speaking to news persons, District In-charge Minister Govind Karjol Amogha Chougla, a resident of Gokak taluka and Priya Nidgundi of Rayabag Taluka are stranded in Ukraine and added possible efforts are being made to bring them back safe to India.

Amogha Chougla and Priya Nidgundi are contacted by their family. The Union government has established a round-the-clock working helpline centre for the families of those stuck in Ukraine.

The Indian Embassy in Kyiv also issued an advisory to Indian nationals stuck in Ukraine. It said that since the Ukrainian airspace was closed, the schedule of special flights has been cancelled.

The Indian government which sent 200-seater Air India plane to bring back Indians on Thursday ( Feb 24) could not landed in Ukraine due to unfavourable situation. India has also planned to fly two more planes to Ukraine on Feb 26 and Feb 28 to bring back the Indians.
