The Muddebihal police succeeded in cracking down the HUDCO colony Union Bank ‘ATM’ burglary case in which Rs 16 lakh was burgled on last Nov 18.

Bank’s cashier Mishbita and attender Manjunath Mangaluru are among the seven arrested. During interrogation, Mishbita told that she had an affair with Manjunath Binnalmath to whom she had given the secrete codes of opening the ‘ATM’ and the bank attender Vithal Mangaluru gave him the keys of the machine.

The sevensome reached the ‘ATM’ which was funded with lakhs of rupees just a few minutes before was madeaway by the gang. Unfortunately, the CC cameras set inside the ‘ATM’ cabin were not working.

Police based on the footages of CC cameras afixed at the adjoining places of the ‘ATM’ police arrested the seven including the cashier and attender who confessed to their crime. Police recovered cash of Rs 13 lakh, a Swift car, key of the ‘ATM’ from the accused.
