Mangala Metgud has been reelected as president to Belagavi District Kannada Sahitya Parishatu for another term defeating Basavaraj Khanapanavar and Ravindra Totiger.

The election recorded 43.12pc votes with 6805 polling. Mangala was cast 4789 votes. The district has a total 15780 – 12599 male and 3177 women voters. Election and counting of votes held at Belagavi Tahasildar office on Sunday.
