Acting swiftly, the Vijayapur police rounded-up 9 among the 13 listed accused of Alamela Town Panchayat former president Pradeep Yantaman murder case within 24 hours of the crime.

Yantaman who was with three others was attacked with stones and sticks by a gang of four on the government school ptemises at Ganesh nagar at Alamela at around 1am on Friday.

Bhimu Melinmani, Sanju Melinmani, Gautam Melinmani, Muttu Melinmani, Sangappa Melinmani, Shivaputra Melinmani, Veeresh Melinmani, Satish Melinmani and Devu Melinmani of Alamela have been taken in to custody.

Pradeep Yantaman was the rowdy sheeter.
