‘15,000 MW renewable energy produced in Karnataka-CM Bommai

Karnataka has been manufacturing 15000 MW of renewable energy and this sector will gain importance in the next five years, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking at “Indian Energy Week-2023” inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday, he said Karnataka is in first place for manufacturing nearly 50 percent of the country’s total renewable energy. Now the state is focusing on various kinds of storage like pump storage for the collection of renewable energy.

Karnataka must become No I in the country in EV manufacturing

The CM said the Global Investors’ Meet was held last month and provided an opportunity for 9 companies to invest Rs 3 lakh crore in green hydrogen manufacturing of which Rs 2 lakh crore in renewable energy. Karnataka has been in forefront of manufacturing renewable energy and the maximum number of research in Electric vehicles and EV transport vehicles is going on. The aim is to become Number one in the manufacturing of EV manufacturing in the country. As a prelude, the investor-friendly EV policy has been implemented.

A big contribution by the State to Ethanol production

Bommai said the state stands first in the manufacturing of Ethanol, a biofuel. Since Karnataka has several sugar factories, a young entrepreneur, Vijay Nirani is into the manufacturing of Ethanol on a big scale in the whole of the country. The state will make a big contribution to the manufacturing of ethanol. In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Amrit Kal, they aim to develop the energy sector on a big scale. It will be achieved through the slogan ‘maximum fuel’, and ‘minimum pollution’.

 

Pollution-less vehicle manufacturing before 2046
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Energy Minister for holding India Energy Week-2023 in Bengaluru, the CM said the definition of life has changed after Corona with new aims, achievements, and stand. Having successfully run the Gujarat Government, Modi has brought revolutionary changes in the field of energy. With this experience, he has made many important changes. The field of energy is facing a lot of new challenges and manufacturing pollution-free power is quite challenging. But the PM has the aim to achieve it before 2046.
