As the Mahajan Report is pending at the Supreme Court along with the fights of Kannada and Marathi Organizations the Gokak is being delayed to be a dist. said the Dist. Incharge Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.

Speaking to the medias at his own residence at Gokak the Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi on Monday said even we too are demanding to make Gokak as Dist. but along with the pending of the Mahajan Report at the SC the fights among the Kannada and Marathi Organizations it is being difficult to make Gokak as Dist. He clarified as the Gokak was supposed to be a dist. long back.

He added as there are some technical problems at the Kalasa Banduri and Basavanna Irrigation Project have called a meet with the Forest Officials.
