Bengaluru : Kannada film actor Chetan on Saturday has filed Re 1 defamation case against Karnataka Minister Shivaram Hebbar for his defamatory comments against him.

Based on the case, the City Civil Court has served a notice to the minister and adjourned the next hearing to July 14.

Hebbar the minister of Labour department at his Twitter handle had commented defamatory post against actor Chetan on his alleged comment against Brahmins.

Chetan, in his complaint stated that being an actor his image was badly damaged with the minister’s post for which he must give him Re 1 compensation else should openly apologise unconditionally.
