Belagavi : Gudas Gram Panchayat Clerk and Bill Collector Siddagouda Basavanni Nerli was trapped red-handed with the collected sum of bribe by Anti Corruption Bureau, (ACB) Belagavi on Monday.

Nerli reportedly demanded cash of Rs 7,400 to Bhimappa Kalakutagi to register his name in the Survival Members Certificate (Warasa Certificate) of the family. Kalakutagi who was not willing to pay the bribe had approached the ACB and as per their direction paid the amount at his office in the pre-lunch break.

Soon after he paid the bribe, the ACB official rushed inside the office and arrested clerk Nerli.
