K’taka Govt Issues Guidelines for Eid-Milad Celebration

Bengaluru : The Karnataka government after imposing restrictions on celebration of Dasara festival has issued guidelines to be followed during Eid-Milad and Valmiki Jayanti celebrations.

The order stated that prayers, religious discourse events shall be held only in masjids and dargahs with not more than 100 people at a time are permitted to attend either during the day or night. All prayers at religious places shall be held in shifts to avoid rush. However, no prayers shall be held in any of the open places like, idhgas, auditorium, shadi mahals.

The government, similarly, during Valmiki Jayanti celebration has imposed ban on public procession and permitted only 100 people at a time for prayer and Jayanti celebration.
