Sanganbasava swamiji of Annadaneshwar Math at Halakeri in Gadag district died due to illness at Apolo hospital at Bengaluru on Monday.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, ministers CC Patil and Govind Karjol visited the hospital and paid their last respect to the swami. In his condolence message, the chief minister said the state has lost a great spiritual soul. Departed swami had established 128 subsidiary mutts andmore than 60 educational institutions. His services to the spiritual and social sector was ever remembered.
