Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai warned the management of the educational institutions accountable if their students traced in-taking drugs in the college campuses and called the students to “make powder those come with powder (drugs) into or near your campuses and later inform us”.
Addressing the students at a campaign against drugs organised jointly by Home Department with Vijay Karnataka newspaper at the campus of Vidhan Soudha at Bengaluru on Sunday, he called the youths to use their physical strength and make powder (smash off) those come to them with drugs.
He advised students don’t make down the faces of their parents, teachers by adducting to drugs and concentrate and study on sports persons who made the nation proud with their achievement in international sportings. You wouldn’t think about drugs if thought about the achievement of sports personalities who brought laurel to the nation by their achievement in Olympics.
He said the state would not rest until eradicate complete the drug manage. The state stands in first row in erasing the drug menace in the nation and continue the same.
He instructed the educational institutions to compulsorily affix the CC Cameras in and outside campus of colleges as well hostels, if not the management would be made responsible if drugs found the campus.
