The members and the leaders of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and BJP youth activists under the leadership of BJP youth leader Pandit Ogale appealed the Assistant Executive Engineer of Public Works Dept. demanding the changing of the name of Tippu Sultan Chowk given to the Parshiwad cross as APJ Abdul Kalam Chowk or Gugulbhavi Chowk and to remove the plaque.

The activists marched till the office and appealed their demands as well as warned as Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and BJP youth activists would remove the nameplate if the officials failed to do so.

The Assistant Executive Engineer Basavaraj Halgi accepted the statement and assured to take appropriate decision in this regard
