This could be wirnessed to hold power in the Hubballi-Dharwad City Corporation as BJP which is the single largest party won highest seats, falling short to reach the ‘Magic No 42’ is expected to cancel its order of expelling the two of its members contested against the official candidates and won the election, to form the power.

No parties reached ‘Magic No 42’ to hold power on the civic body of Hubballi-Dharwad Corporation. BJP is the single largest party with 39 seats of total 82 -member body.

Congress won in 33, Hyderabad MP Assaduddin Owaisi’s AIMAM 3, JD(S) 1 and Independents won in 6 seats. Aam Adhmi party (AAP) not opened the account. AAP and AIMAM contested the election for the first time and fielded 41 candidates.

BJP, reeling 3 members short would form the power as 2 of its workers contested rebels won the election to back the party. BJP which had expelled all of its workers contested rebel and Independents for 6 years from the party is expected to take the two rebels won to form the power. Taking another members was not a hard to the party.

BJP, if its rebels supported would form power on the corporation for the third consecutive term.
