The Birth Anniversary of the Great Saint Valmiki was celebrated in a simple and meaningful manner by the Taluka administration at Hukkeri.

In the compound union of the taluka administration, taluka panchayat, ST development dept. and the municipality the celebration was organized. The event was initiated by the Taluka Panchayat President Dastgir Bassapuri with the floral tributes to the portrait.

After the celebration the SSLC toppers were felicitated. The assistant director of the Social Welfare Dept. dictated the oath on behalf of the National Unity Day.

The officials of the various departments as well as the members of the municipality were present by the time.
