Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said following the new Variant Omicron of COVID-19, the government has not yet taken any decision on restricting Christmas and New Year celebration.

Speaking to news persons after casting his vote to Legislative Council election at Shiggav in Haveri district on Friday, he said decision would be taken on COVID-19 measure.

He said the issues related to north Karnataka would be given importance in Legislative Session to be held at Belagavi from Dec 13 to 24. The Mahadayi issue is in court. Government would do what it has to do to restart the civil work project. Government has started crop loss compensation to the farmers through app ‘Parihara’.
