Hubballi Riots, Court Extends Judicial Custody of Arrested to May 13

The JMFC IVth Court on Monday extended the judicial custody term of 154 people booked for ‘riots’ at Old Hubballi till May 13.

103 people rounded-up have been housed in Kalaburgi, 17 in Ballari, 10 in Mysuru and rest in Hubballi and Dharward sub jails. Arrested included a corporator of Hubballi Dharward City Corporation representing Hyderabad MP Owaisi’s AIMIM party. The accused were produced before the court as their judicial term was ended on April 30.

As many as 20 among the arrested have applied for bail to Hubballi Dharward High Court Bench following education and medical ground.
