Inspired by the late actor Puneet Rakjumar with whose eyes four blinds were given new sight, people showing interest to donate their eyes too and contacting the Eye Bank and Ophiologists about the donation process throughout the state.

The Eye Bank of Dr MM Joshi was attended more than 500 people out of which 400 were registered to donate their eyes. The bank said earlier about 3-5 people used to contact for information and about the donating, the number after the eyes of the actor gave new sights the number was in rise.
