Through the Kannadigas protest for breaking the Sangolli Rayanna statue at Belagavi is spreading throughout the state, a case of burning Kannada flag reported at Halasi village in Khanapur taluk. The miscreants also blackened the picture cardboard of Basavanna.

The Kannada flag hoisted atop the Gram Panchayat office was seen burnt on Monday morning. Situation turned to tense, the Nandgad police have rushed to the village. The picture cardboard of Basavanna was just beside the panchayat office.
