As his party worker Lakhan Jarkiholi contested against the official candidate Mahantesh Kavatagimath, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the former’s MLA brothers work for the victory of the party candidate in the Legislative Council election.

Speaking to news persons at Bengaluru on Wednesday, he said Lakhan Jarkiholi is not in his party, his MLA brothers Ramesh and Balachandra will work for the victory of the party candidate. Lakhan contesed on his own decision and he added that he would talk to Ramesh and Balachandra over the matter.

Lakhan has joined BJP during last by-polls to Belagavi Lokasabha.
