Bengaluru : A 38-year-old physically handicapped widow, unable to run the family facing financial crises, killed her 12-year-old daughter by hanging to the ceiling and tried to end her life by hanging to the same rope, at Bengaluru on Tuesday night.

Varalakshmi lost her husband to COVID-19 last year was facing trouble to run the family for which she decided to end her life with her first daughter Divyashree. She after hanged Divyashree also got hanged to the same rope. Her younger son after seeing the incident ran out screaming which neighboring rushed and saved the woman. However, by than Divyashree was dead.

The Rajanukunte police have registered a case.
