Muzarayi, Wakf Minister Shashikala Jolley visited the family of deceased Lakshmi at Harugeri town in Raibhag taluk and console her family members on Monday, Aug 16. 16-year-old Lakshmi, daughter of Shekhar Rudranavar was murdered allegedly by Ameer Jamadar, 21, of the same place for refusing his love proposal.

Lakshmi who was pursuing her SSLC was stabbed by Ameer with a knife on the road when she came out of her private tuition class. He has been arrested and remanded to Judicial custody.

The deceased girl was the hope of her family, amid poverty her parents were giving her education. Her parents were the daily wage laborers. Minister Shashikala donated cash of Rs 10,000 to her parents and has assured of looking after in feature. She instructed the police to check who was behind Ameer to commit such a crime. Complete the investigation quickly and file a charge sheet do that the accused can be sentenced early.

Murdered Lakshmi has three younger sisters whom the minister has assured of helping for their every need.
