New Palace Resemble to Rani Channamma to be Constructed at Kittur : CM

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that government has proposed to construct a resemble palace of Rani Channamma at Kittur for which he would reserve Rs 200 crore in next budget 2022-23.

Addressing the gathering after flagging off to the three-day Kittur Utsav at the mortal remains of the palace and fort of Queen Channamma on Saturday night. Bommai said the next cabinet meeting would decide about naming after – Kittur Karnataka – to the northern parts of the state which now been called – Mumbai Karnataka – region.

Caring not to the ‘jinx’ that the chief ministers would loose their post if participated in “Kittur Utsav” to be celebrated every year at Rani Channamma’s Fort and Palace at Kittur, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had participated in the inaugural session of the three – day programme on Saturday night.

He assured that the “Vijayosthava Joyti” (Victory Torch) of Rani Channamma which now reach Kittur town from Nandghad in Khanapur by moving in just 2-3 taluks of Belagavi district would taken throughout the state from next yeay.

It may be recalled that he, before Dasara festival festival, also visited the ‘jinx’ district Chamarajnagar which also outcome for the chief ministers.
