One among the eight from Bengaluru who hot into the sea at Gokarna in Kumata taluk of Karwar district washed away to the high tide on Monday morning. The person washed away identified as Arun Lakkappa, 22, from BMT Layout.

The group of eight arrived at the beach in the morning and were advised by the people not to get in into the sea as the weather was not good and there was high tide.

Two including missing Arun were washed away in the water and one was saved by the life-saving guards. The search was on to trace missing Arun.
