Protest by the farmers appealing for the sugarcane bills and the labor wages at Malaprabha Sugar Factory.

The farmers protested and expressed their anger by protesting for the pending bills of sugarcane, and payment of the wages of the laborers at Malaprabha co-operative sugar factory at MK Hubli of Kittur taluk Belagavi.

The farmers led by the leaders and the Swamijis of different villages arrived with the procession, and protested in front of the factory.

Speaking by the time one of the farmers said in the previous line 2800/ton but only 2200 has been given. The pending amount has to be paid but the administrative dept. of the factory is treating the farmers as if asking for the credits or as the beggars. The factory must pay all the dues of the farmers and save their lives. He further said the factory has kept 7.8 cr due of the year 2017, 1.2 cr of the year 2018-19 of cutting and supply, and 3.5 cr due of the sugarcane supplied since January.

Dist. division head Raghavendra Nayik, Jayashri Gurannavar and other farmer leaders were present by the time.
