A truck heading toward Bidi village from Khanapur was caught afire due to mechanical faults on Thursday afternoon.
The silencer got cut in middle, however, driver with an intention to get it repaired in Bidi, the nearest biggest town, drove when the vehicle caught afire. The fire caught to the front portion first and later spread to entire truck.
