After a student from Bengaluru drowned at Gokarna beach in Karwar district last week, two girl students from Davanagere drowned in sea at Kumata in the same district on Monday.

Megha and Renuka Prasad who were said to be the engineering students at Davanagere had been to Badada Hubbanageri beach in Kumata. Both got into the sea to swim, however were drowned.

After a few hours, Megha’s body was found dead, while Renuka Prasad who washed inside away the sea is suspected to be drowned.
