The Forest Police have successfully arrested the 3 men trying to sell a red monkey and prairie chicken at the Kundargi cross of Gokak Taluka nad have produced them to 2nd JMFC court. Two more accusers of this case have escaped from the spot while the action.
The accusers are identified to be the residents of Kasageri of Gokak taluk namely Bhimappa Tagari, Bhimseppa Khadevvgol and Paraseppa Nandi. A red faced monkey and 14 prairie chickens have been detained by them along with 14 cages and 1 neck chain tied to the monkey.
