Bearing himself responsible for the defeat in the election to Hubballi-Dharwad City Corporation, JD(S) NH Konareddi resigned to his post of party National General Secretary.

He said he resigned to his post as the party could won only one seat amid made sincere efforts to win the election. He said he was hurt badly with the outcome of the election. Party president, workers worked a lot, however, the expectation was not reached. ‘I’ll held myself responsible for the defeat and resigned for my post,’ he said.

Laxmi Maruti Hindasgeri is the only from the party won from ward number 25.
