Leopard Captures in Cages, Its 5-year-old Male Animal

The leopard that said to be spotted at Nrupatunga Betta region at Hubballi and in a few village in Dharward taluk was caputred at Kavalageri village.

The leopard was found trapped in one of the cages that kept in the agriculture fields at Kavalageri. After the animal was spotted in the sugarcane fields of the village three days ago, the forest department had placed six cages with row meat in different places.

The leopard first found at Nrupatunga Betta on Sept 19, was seen also in nearby localities at Hubballi and three days ago at the sugarcane fields in Kalageri village. The village, according to forest officials chose the village where the sugarcane grown thick. The animal was spotted in the CCTV cameras fixed in many places.

The officials said the leopard caputred was five-year male and is being checked whether it was the same which was spotted in Hubballi and in other parts.
