Gadag : A woman suffering from heart related ailment fed poision to two of her young children and later ended her life by consuming the poison. The incident occurred at Konnur village in Naragund taluk of Gadag district.

Yellawwa fed poision to her 2-year-old daughter Swapna and 6-month-old baby Samarth. Neighbours who saw the trio laying unconscious at their home rushed to the hospital at Naragund where the woman and Swapna breathed their lives, while baby Samarth is survived.

Thinking she couldn’t recover from her ailment and her children had to suffer without her, Yellawwa took the extreme step. She was worried about her children and was depressed.
