Karnataka PSI recruitment prime accused Divya Hagaragi who was at large since 18 days was rounded-up at Pune in Maharashtra in the early hours of Friday. CID team led by SP Raghavendra Hegde arrested the woman who was often chaging her hiding places in Maharashtra.

Divya who is running ‘Jnan Joyti’ school at Kalaburgi went at large after the PSI recruitment scam came to light. Her school was also used as one of the examination centers for the recruitment.

The CID team took her husband Rajesh Hagaragi over his non-cooperation to the investigation. As Divya couldn’t traced for long days, the IIIrd JMFC Court at Kalaburgi has served arrest warrant against her and a few other suspected accused in the case.

The examination was conducted throughout the state on Aug 3, 2021 and temporary selection list of successful candidates was declared on Jan 19, 2022. The board suspected irregularities after more candidates wrote examination in Divya’s ‘Jnan Jyoti’ selected than other centers.

One among the charges Divya was facing is, she managed to write the answers to the questions in the space left blank on the OMR sheet by the candidates after completion of the examination hour.
