Dharward : Since the fear of the new variant of coronavirus Omicron is growing among the people, the Winter Legislative Session scheduled at Belagavi Suvarna Vidhan Soudha from Dec 10 to 24 is “doubtful”.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai while speaking to news persons at Dharwad on Wednesday said “will see about the session” which indicate that the session would be cancelled if the things go out as conducting the session was not wise decision which could put the lives of many in to risk.

As the secod wave of the COVID-19 had created a hevoc in the nation, many including the legislstors feel to cancel the Belagavi session. About 5000 would come from other places of the state which not only put their lives to risk but also to the people of Belagavi. “Whatever precautionary measure you take, its not easy to escape”, MLAs who don’t wanted to be named said.
