The Karnataka High Court Circuit Bench at Dharwad on Tuesday, Aug 10, reopened a cheque bounce case related to former minister, MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi.

A Cooperative Credit Bank had filed a suit with the Chikkodi court against Jarkiholi as a cheque of ₹ 5.2 crore which Jarkiholi gave got bounce. However, the suit was dismissed as the pleader of the bank did not attended to the court. However, the High Court Bench over-ruled the order terming “The Court Order was Not According to Law” and instructed to investigate the matter again from Day-1 of the case filed and to deliver a suitable verdict.
