To maintain law and order and to follow the COVID-19 norms, the police department banned celebrations, public meeting with the counting of votes to Belagavi City Corporation on Monday.

The government also banned sale on liquor on Monday. ACP Vikram Ampte appealed people not to gather at the counting centre at BK Model school to prevent spreading of epidemic Corona Virus. He said people should cooperate the government as it did at the election.

He said heavy police bandobasth has been made outside the counting centre as well in sensitive and hypersensitive places in the town.
