On the firm information the of smuggling of the sandalwood at the survey number 105 of Kangod Village, of Siddapur taluk, Uttar Kannada Dist. the forest officers team of Siddapur zone led by Shivanand S Ningani, under the guidance of the Sirsi Sub Forest Conservator Officer S G Hegde and Aziz Abdul Shaikh has arrested an accuser namely Erappa Nayak (52) resident of Horakeri village of Talaguppa taluk, Sagar.

The officials have detained the sandalwood worth 2 Lakh rupees weighing 40 kg, and a bike. The case regarding this has been registered. The operation included the Subdivision Forest Officer Manjunath Chinnannavar, Anana Era, and some other officers.
