Hubballi : The accused of Journalist Gouri Lankesh murdered were produced before the Ist JMFC Court at Hubballi where they faced the hearing in connection with a bike used to the crime.

The bike which was stolen from Mavanuru in Hubballi taluk in 2018 was used to assassinate the journalist, the public prosecutor claimed and asked questions on the topic.

A few accused who were in Mumbai jail were brought to Hubballi. The hearing is started from Oct 29. many as 17 people listed as accused

The SIT which is investigating the case has charge sheeted against Amol Kale, Parusharam Waghmore, Amit Baddi, Ganesh Miskin, Amit Deghvekar and 12 others on whom sections inder IPC 302, 120B, including Karnataka Arms Act 2000 have been framed.

The charges have been fixed against the accused by CCH Special Court at Bengaluru and the hearing will be continued from Dec 8.

Journalist Gouri Lankesh was shot dead on the floor or the campus of her house at Basavanagudi in Bengaluru on Sept 5, 2018.
