Acting on the specific information, the Talikoti police waylaid a goods carrier rickshaw near Talikoti bus stand in which 980 kg rice was transporting illegally.

Suresh Srimantappa Pattanshetti, the resident of Binjslbhavi, was transporting the rice supplied ration cardholders through the fair price shops. Police recovered rice and the vehicle transporting it. The rice recorded is worth Rs 26,460.
