A heavy rainfall has been faced by the Balekundri KH, Sambra, and Panth Balekundri village at Belagavi yesterday night. The gutters have overfilled and a huge amount of water has been deposited in the farm yards. The water has rushed into the doorsteps of houses and the shops causing fitful situations to lives of the villagers.

Nearly 15-20 houses have fell apart and many vendors are facing loss of groceries, cement, fertilizers and food crops, costing nearly 2 lakhs, as the water has rushed into the shops. The people have spent a sleepless night rescuing their lives and household materials.

The overfilling of pits and the drainage has created a huge problem for the transport. The district administration is facing problems of the deluges of rain created overnight.
