Two convicted prisoners who were released on Parole Leave to avoid rush in Hindalaga jail Belagavi were not returned even after complition of the leave term. Ramesh Venkataravansppa Kuri and Eshwar Mallappa Vaggar are the prisoners didn’t returned to the prison.
Ramesh Kuri from Hattiholli village in Madhugiri taluk in Tumakuru district was left out from jail on 90 days parole from May 15 and was supposed to return before 5.30pm on Aug 16. Ayaz Mehaboobali Sheikh from Muslim Galli in Angol, Belagavi was the guarantee for him.
While, the 52-year-old Eshwar Mallappa Vaggar from Chikkanandi village in Gokak taluk who was on parole leave with the guarantee of Siddappa Maruti Siddannavar who supposed to return jail on Aug 15 did not back.
Jail Superintendent Shabuddin Kalesab has lodged a complaint against the duo with Belagavi Rural police station.
The Karnataka High Court, to avoid spreading of Corona Virus in jails has instructed the Home Ministry to release the convicted prisoners on parole leave to avoid rush in the jail.
